1923 Jan. 22nd Monday
A nice day but chilly. Mrs. C. Sherlock and Mother and I went to Langans and staid from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Will did work, went to town to folks for dinner and in eve went to Langan with Ableidingers and staid until 11 p.m.
1933 Jan. 22nd Sunday
Bright but N.W. breeze was cool. Wm chored at 6 to 7 o’clock this morning then he and I went to 8:30 a.m. Mass. Fr. Martin went up at 7 a.m. Will is still sick but had a lot [of] company. Ben, Otto, Jay Tate, Mr. Sazama and George, Pete Neiss and Son came to look at Ed’s Car and went on to Ed’s. Narvin Boyd came also. Kenneth Whiting and Wm went along to Boyds also John Sundquist. I got meals and wrote letters.
1943 Jan. 22nd Friday
Was zero at morning, some clouds but no snow and sun shone dimly, got to 20 above in afternoon and back to zero at bedtime. Wm Van Epps and Henry chored, also fed cattle at Wagner Shed and Van Epps went to Claude Van Epps and got 3 old sows, took them to Winner Sale Pavilion and sold them, got some lumber for himself and us and 1790 lbs. coal for us and was home before bed-time. Henry chored for Will had a bad cold so didn’t do much but fed chickens and staid indoors. Elsie and I got meals, she washed Billie’s clothes and cleaned upstairs and I swept floors. I sewed on black every-day dress. We play cards in the evenings, 500 and pitch.
1953 Jan. 22nd Thursday
Bright so we gave cattle hay and then went in our Pick Up to around Highway South [of] here by Bridge west [of] here, got stuck 2 times so finally went to Stanleys. Pearl and Stanley were lunching on Homemade Chili so Will took a bowl full but Dan no do. He came home hungry for late eats in p.m. The Men were going to Abbotts to see if they to get a bull at Sale that Abbott got 7 miles east [of] Mosher yesterday but no get there. Usual Pastime and eats for me and I sew on quilt blocks. Betty was up.
