1946 February 4th Monday

Was cold last night about 18 above and real warm this afternoon for sun shone all day except clouds would pass around here to N.E. so no moisture here. It was in fact just hot as Will and I came home from Valentine in p.m. where we went this forenoon to get radio wires fixed, got new batteries for it, an A one, so when Will got home he fixed radio together and it was loud and nice so we listened to radio in eve, played cards and Will read some and I played some solitaire. I got breakfast and supper, had dinner at Valentine, for Will and I went there before noon. Saw Thomas, Athel, Doris and David, who were there in Whiting truck to get a load of coal and Athel went to Dr. Farner for he is treating her for pile operation. We had a flat tire south of bridge west of here.
