1926 March 20th Saturday
Bright but hazy around the horizon and S.E. wind changed to South and quite strong and dusty . Will & William went to Frank Cihak, had dinner and found 8 head of Haisch horses east of part of Todd County and late p.m. back home. Louise cleaned the house and I just took care of incubator & setting hens and started dinner and baked bread. Mr. & Mrs. George Menz, Della & Ada came late a.m. and waited until Will came home, they got eggs to set incubator. The Elshires went by with running-gears to get poles at O’Kreek. E. A. Elshire came late evening and took Louise to dance.
1936 March 20th Friday
Quite a strong N.W. wind and some dust. I got meals, played solitaire in p.m. and not much else for I was kind of dumpy. Mr. Chauncey stayed so he, Will, LeMoyne and Thomas worked at Shed all day after LeMoyne and Thomas put one jag of hay in the barn from Stack at N.E. corner of cattle yard. Frank and Mr. Lattimore came horse-back to get 2 cows and a calf of Frank’s as he makes his home at Lattimores now. Bill Smith came again to see Frank as he wants to go to Mission and wants Frank to take him. I thought that a lot of folks at barn at noon, so I made a lot of coffee and only Will, Mr. Chauncey, Thomas and LeMoyne were there.
1946 March 20th Wednesday
Bright, nice day. Will and Van Epps fed cattle hay and cubes, also the bulls and calves hay off of the stacks of their feed rack. They ate dinner and scraped manure away from the feed rack east of Shed here, then got the mail at Whiting Store. Will chored. I got meals, laid down in p.m., played solitaire, rad some, listened to radio and feel better.
1956 March 20th Tuesday
Bright, nice day. Men gave cattle hay. Ellen went out in Pick Up to be at Whiting Store, that is Chester , she came back with Vere on tractor as they gave cattle hay from stacks on wheat grass west of trees so left sled there and Chester went on, came at noon to eat dinner and Dick Whiting brought Will home as Mr. & Mrs. Otis O’Neill went back to Valentine and I guess Pearl was here to-day this p.m. instead of yesterday, because she drank coffee with Will so did not eat dinner. His eye isn’t too good yet and nothing done on the right one and left ear is fair, right one not finished for deafness. Nothing done to eczema. Elaine in Pick Up took Louise home this p.m. and Vere got Darryl at school. Louise got dinner of Potatoes, Roast Beef, and Carrots, and I read.
