Snowing and rain. Will chored and Van Epps came, they fed cattle and calves, then Van Epps went home and Will came in to eat. I got meals, laid down in p.m. as I am on unsalted diet and not much to eat at that so I cannot work much, also iodine capsules. I fed chickens on east porch.

Snowed last night and terrific N.W. wind but snow got worse today. Men gave cattle east of trees at Janis’s stack of hay. Some calves come day and night, we now have 26 of them. No go to school and Will did not go to Valentine, Nebr. with Thomas’s on account of snow but not too cold. I got eats, laid down in p.m. Will slept also. I played solitaire. Electricity went off 1 to 5 a.m. so no juice.
