1926 April 13th Tuesday

Was real cold and a little cloudy at times. Louise to school and got cold going and coming. I washed the clothes yesterday p.m. Will took seeder to shop at Hidden Timber and got fixed at noon so William hauled a load of corn then they seeded and to-day I cooked some beans & the hog’s head and William disced and Will cleaned the coop and took William a horse. Mr. Menz, Fred, and Wm Welch here to-day.

1936 April 13th Monday

Sun shone and was real warm. The men chored and LeMoyne took Rake and went to Schmidt land, raked a load and brought to cattle and gave them cane also. Ben brought disc so Thomas disced west of alfalfa in p.m. LeMoyne and Ben butchered a hog in p.m. Will went to Winner, back at bed-time. I got meals, slept in p.m.

1946 April 13th Saturday

Bright beautiful day. Van Epps and Will cubed the cattle and Van Epps went to Winner to get their pork that is cured there. Home to chore in eve. Will chored, looked at cattle an I went with him in late p.m., for first he took eggs and mailed letters to Dakota Farmer renewal subscription 2 yrs and for a lot of Denver Dry Goods, but they won’t go as too late for mail to-day. I got eats and laid down in p.m., played solitaire, read some, listened to radio. Will is spading a place Southwest Corner of yard to plant some garden.

1956 April 13th Friday

Bright Day and Lillian brought Doug and got dinner for Men and went to take Elizabeth and Foster Janis to Rosebud this p.m. and got Doug in eve, also eggs for them. I am just getting eats and resting, also Will rests. Will’s cataracts are better but he rests a lot. I read and play solitaire and keep accounts up to date.
