Bright Day so Will went up My Creek to look for Cows and Bulls. He went in Pick Up as Johnsons are home today. I cleaned dishes and last eve Will did a lot so not many to wash. I mopped kitchen, bath & pantry with a small mop rag as I cannot rinse much. Just finished and Dave, Jeanne, Jack and Cherrie Parker came in their Light Green with a white top Buick Car they got at Oshkosh, Nebr., S.W. of Arthur. Arthur is 17 miles to south of Ranch where they are now. They came to Mission then with Thomas’s to their place for the night and we had eats & melons. Will had Dave and Leslie put up hay so Parkers to Thomas’s for ice-cream and back to Nebr.

Bright hot day after cool a.m. Mr. Harp came, so he, Leslie and Will put up rest of alfalfa on Wagner, making 6 stacks now and it was very damp in morning but as Leslie was moving mowing outfit to Standing Cloud he broke something on mower so Will and I went to Valentine in p.m., got it in a hurry, saw Wm Pierce and he was getting repairs also. The goose here is his. Will got a few groceries and a Frosty Freeze and me a hamburger. We got milk at Thomas’s, had potato soup for supper. I have sneezes and cough on account of hot weather but sleep good at night. Parkers will come back July 1st to contract haying. I ate melon today but Will had none.

Bright day, in fact just too hot in p.m. but I never looked as I pulled shade on Kitchen window down but was too hot to rest. I slept this a.m. on Bed and a little in chair this p.m. I got eats and played some solitaire and fixed Diary & Accounts. Will and Mr. Harp moved rake and sweep as Leslie took Mowing Outfit but a tire had to be fixed on sweep, it was valve, so they got it repaired then Leslie lost key to something on Mowing Outfit, spent nearly all p.m. looking for it. Mr. Harp raked but no mowing. Will rested not knowing there was no mowing. Jerry and Billie got mail and mailed some for us. Jerry is washing clothes.
