February 27, 1929 (Wednesday)
Another nice day after a cloudy morn. Will went to store. Ray Carrs & Frank L—- got a box of Pickerel fish from Duluth, Minn. and in p.m. he went to Dave’s place and brought in some calves. Dave & Roy went to Curt Elshire’s and got a male hog and in p.m. Dave packed fish. Roy gathered cobs. I sewed & [got] the meals.
February 28, 1929 (Thursday)
Cloudy part of day and some snow in p.m. and cold enough to freeze the dark clothes I hung out to dry which I washed to-day. Will & Dave hauled in water and Will went to cattle and in p.m. helped me rinse the clothes. Dave and Roy hauled hay. I also got the meals.
March 1, 1929 (Friday)
Was quite a nice day. I hung out the rest of clothes and they dried. Roy hauled hay. Dave went to store and after Louise. Will cleaned barn and Roy helped in p.m. I made bum bread and butter and the meals. Louise made oatmeal cookies in eve and helped me fix Norwegian Cookies to set for the set.
